Look at the whole entry
For a home, start with the entrance you actually use. Is the front deadbolt smooth, does the back-door key catch, and is the garage-side door on another key? A small list of doors, working keys and symptoms helps avoid treating every problem as a reason to buy new locks.
If the concern is who still has copies, rekeying suitable locks may be worth discussing. If the key binds or the handle is loose, explain that when asking about lock repair. Changing the key does not by itself correct poor door alignment or worn hardware. Mention both security concerns and everyday difficulty so they can be considered together.
Garage door or house door?
These can be two separate requests even when you notice them on the same trip home. A missing side-door key concerns the keyed entrance. An overhead door that stops partway, hangs unevenly or makes a new sound needs a description of its own. Use our garage door repair page to prepare that conversation.
Do not walk beneath an unstable door or try to release tension from springs or cables. From a safe position, note what the door did before it stopped and whether the controls produced any response. The appropriate work and availability need confirming; a report of one symptom is not enough to promise a particular part or repair.
Meeting at a parked car
Bicentennial Park is north of Southlake Boulevard between White Chapel Boulevard and Shady Oaks Drive. If keys are inside a car after a visit, say which entrance you used and where the vehicle is parked. A large destination can have more than one plausible meeting point, so the park name is only the beginning.
For vehicle access or key help, add the year, make and model and say whether a working spare exists. If the vehicle is now in Grapevine or Keller, give that actual location. Keep your phone available while the request and address are checked.
